What is this?

"Everything is part of it." is a lot of things.  It's a mantra.  It means something different for everyone, but to a lot of folks, it seems to bring a bit of comfort to a chaotic world. 

Everything is part of it is a project by me, Justin Parr.  The phrase struck me one day as being important so I painted it on a wooden sign and screwed it to a tree in my yard.  After a few years of watching it degrade in the sun I realized I wanted to photograph it and make it into a sticker.  I only made them as "Eggshell Stickers" though initially so they would be difficult to remove.  It's a commitment of sorts but thats sort of what it's all about.   

Once COVID hit I realized I wanted to build a website that was sort of half blog and half catalog. I wanted to offer for sale a lot of the things that I make creatively, things I make with my friends in my community, and a lot of the things my friends make creatively. I also wanted to talk about fun stuff like bike trails, marble hiding, and foraging. It took me a few years to get it all to happen. 

For more than 20 years I have owned and run an art gallery here in San Antonio, TX called FL!GHT.  During this time a faithful and evolving group of us have worked hard to produce a new show in our space almost every single month of the last 20 years.  I will occasionally offer ephemera, collaborations, prints, and artwork from FL!GHT's featured artists as well here.
